1997 Baltimore Orioles

Hey there,if anyone is interested I am going to attempt to make the 1997 Orioles. Don't know if I will do full 40 man roster, but will be more than 25 man.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles

So far I have the starting lineup done. C-Chris Hoiles, 1b-Rafael Palmeiro,2b-Roberto Alomar, SS-Mike Bordick, 3b-Cal Ripken, LF-BJ Surhoff ,CF-Brady Anderson ,RF-Eric Davis and DH-Harlod Banies. I am still working on the stances.I have some dvd's with some of these guys on them from a Cal Ripken box set,so I will most likely go and watch them. But if anyone has any suggestions for stances,or pitching motions I would appreciate it.I am going to work on the bench today most likely, maybe a pitcher or too.

Well I have the team done. Though I still think Rany Myers and Mussina's pitching motion needs tweeks. If anyone has any suggestions for those that would be awesome.I can't remember what I gave Mussina, but I gave Myers Josh Becketts motion.Anyway I may look at adjusting the motions other than that roster should be in the vault soon.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles

Question for you...so the Orioles are the 1997 version and the rest of the teams are 2010? If so, I would not expect many people would download and play with. If you did all the teams to represent the 1997 season, then I can see people being interested.

Obviously, the 97 team holds a special place in your heart...but I would not expect many others to be interested. This came across harsher than I intended, so my apologies. Just an explanation on why you may not be seeing much feedback here or online.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles

No problem, not harsh at all.Yeah being only 26,the best Orioles team in my life was the 97 team.At the moment it is just the 97 O's and the rest of the league is 2010.After playing a few games with the team I have been thinking I might want to attempt the rest of the league.I would really like to replay the season and try to win the world series we should have.If anyone would be interested in the whole league from 97 I might give it a try.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles

People are always interested in replaying seasons. There is a member Knight165 on here that does a ton of historic teams and is planning on doing at least one past season as well. Others have also done rosters of old time teams, so there is a big interest in that.

Go for it...but be forewarned...it is a brutal process to edit all the teams with all the correct information, but once you are done, you'll get hours and hours of gametime replaying the season, as will others. Just expect it to take a month or more to complete, as you can only work it in spare time.

Good luck.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles/(Whole 97 teams)

I am sure it is gonna take a tone of time.It took over a week to just get the O's done and I have my memory of that team plus a tone of baseball cards and a couple of dvds.Knight and co. full minors are awesome.Couldn't play the game without them. The rest of the league I am sure will be much harder. But I am gonna give it a go.Thanks.Will post any updates on done teams as I get them done.

Re: 1997 Baltimore Orioles

So I went back and made the O's have a full 40 man roster.Though I am now sure that Scott Erickson needs a different motion then Generic 5. I have a 25 man roster for the Red Sox done.Hope to get the 40 man done today and start work on the Yanks.
