4TH QTR Scores Missing Glitch - Does it make your assoc. crash?

Ok...I've posted this in the Bugs/Glitches thread, and I'm not really getting any response.

I looked through I don't know... the first 20 pages of that thread and couldn't find any info on this since most people were posting camera issues etc.

I'm afraid of my association being corrupted as I progress so I wanted to find out if anyone has had the same thing occur, and been able to move forward w/o any problems.

The Dilemma:

I believe this glitch occurs when you've just trained your guys after having played a weekend game in your association...as I had just played Orlando (as Philly), and that game was on a Saturday.

After playing New Orleans I should've been on a one gm win streak, but instead in SIM CENTRAL it said two...I never noticed it, but after I trained Thad Young the glitch must've happened; I had shutdown the console after saving my progress from training my players, and never looked at SIM CENTRAL again till AFTER my next played game (the following day).

So sure enough I see in the SIM CENTRAL boxscore that my actual loss to Orlando was counted as a win; the 4th Qtr score read like this me 15, Magic ZERO.

The game was a 109-105 loss, but since it only counted 15 for me and zero for Orlando it gave me a 'W' over this game in SIM CENTRAL.

Trying to get down to the bottom of things I counted up all my losses, counting the Orlando game mentioned here as a loss, and sure enough it all added up in the NBA.Com Standings.

In addition, my SIM CENTRAL losses were correct, but the win/lose streak portion was wrong.

When really it should only be a one gm win strea, that one win coming in my recent contest w/ Nawlins.

I also tested simming through the rest of the season to see if the game crashed in anyway, but I was able to get thru the post and offseasons and onto the next one w/ no issues.

I'm just afraid of something happening since my two backup saves were saved over w/ this glitch in it...so if it did eventually crash I would be out of luck w/ no 'clean' back-up save.

There's got to be someone out there who can offer insight on this...A dev or another gamer who had this happened and has/has not had any problems.

As you noted, your true record is intact. We believe it to be a display error. No one on the internet can figure out how to reproduce it. Without those steps, there isn't much we can do about it. It's a rather elusive bug...

I haven't heard of it causing ANY errors in the future moving forward with the franchise.

Mods maybe this can be stickied since this IS the 2nd time this glitch occurred to me, but luckily (that time) I caught it and was able to reload my association w/ the bug not causing any 'visual' inconsistencies - or any other issues for that matter.

I just simmed to the next day during the 1st occurence and trained my players then, and nothing 'whacky' happened.

YES! Same here! Even in 2k8 this was happening. And 2k9 has the same issue. But I didn't know why it happens. It's really bad when you would have a 5 game win streak, and you don't get the summer camp points because your 5 wins are detected like 4-1. But in the record it's five wins... This glitch... wonder if we will have it 2k10?

never do a drill after u play a game. i got this on 2k8 as well and i found out the solution. you will still get credit for your win/loss but it will display as the opposite.

either do ur drills when u first boot up ur association or reboot the game and then do it but dont play a game then do a drill. always wipes out ur 4th quarter or overtime points in ur last game.

ya i got this a lot and always had a back up file

but i think it definately has somethign to do with drills

but in the regular season even though it says L and 0 in the 4th q, you still get the win

this bug messes up in the playoffs, where when you load your file, later, you actually get credited with a loss

I didn't feel comfortable moving forward in my much documented 76ers association so I started a new one w/ the Wizards. I did'nt delete my saves, but I'm a little pissed that I might never play that assoc. again since I don't want to put time into it only to see it crash out later on.
